Project Details

Hello. Today's case introduces the installation of a FIX800 fixed multi-gas detector.

Over the past five years, confined space asphyxiation incidents have continued to occur every year, causing injuries and, in severe cases, fatalities. Most gas accidents happen when a specific gas is inhaled over a period of time in an enclosed space, preventing the body from receiving adequate oxygen. Preventing these accidents always comes down to proper safety measures.

The product introduced today is the Wandi FIX800 fixed multi-gas detector. The FIX800 can be configured with sensor modules covering a range of target gases — including O₂, CO, H₂S, LEL, and CO₂ — allowing it to monitor hazardous gases across industrial and confined-space work environments.

This case introduces an installation in a cleanroom. Because the cleanroom uses liquid nitrogen and helium gas, it is a space that requires a gas detector.

The FIX800 multi-gas detector supports various output signal options, allowing it to be connected to a PC for use with an alarm system. It can also be installed together with a gas concentration display board and a warning light, making it easy to check measured values.

The FIX800 is constructed from high-strength aluminum, allowing it to be used even in harsh industrial environments. It can also be operated remotely via remote control for safe and convenient use.

The product specifications of the FIX800 multi-gas detector are shown below.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What gases can the FIX800 fixed multi-gas detector measure?

The FIX800 is a fixed multi-gas detector that can be configured to monitor hazardous gases including O₂ (oxygen), CO (carbon monoxide), H₂S (hydrogen sulfide), LEL (combustible gas), and CO₂ (carbon dioxide).

Why is a gas detector needed in a cleanroom?

Cleanrooms use liquid nitrogen and helium gas in their processes. A leak of either gas can displace oxygen and create an oxygen-deficient atmosphere, making a fixed gas detector essential safety equipment.

How are FIX800 alarms monitored?

The FIX800 can be connected to a PC to operate an alarm system, and can also be installed together with a gas concentration display board and a warning light for convenient, at-a-glance monitoring of measured values.

What is the FIX800 built from, and how is it operated?

The FIX800 housing is made of high-strength aluminum, allowing it to withstand harsh industrial environments. It can also be operated remotely using a remote control.

How many gases can the FIX800 measure at the same time?

The FIX800 has four physical sensor slots, supporting up to four simultaneous gas measurements (five when a combined CO+H₂S dual sensor is used).
