There are moments when you wish development could stop, but progress has already accelerated and cannot be stopped. Developments that exceed the expected pace cause unexpected problems and accidents. Accordingly, measures are developed to prevent problems and resolve accidents, and when there is a gap between the speed of development and safety, we experience inconvenience. When I was a college student, which is no longer awkward to call my childhood, I worked part-time at a construction site every vacation to earn money to eat and play. It was a part-time job that allowed a young student, who did not have the academic background to tutor, to earn a lot of money for his time using his physical skills. Even in the early 2000s, it was common to see people drinking makgeolli or soju with the snacks provided. The full moon, which has excellent unfair cream, and soju are a surprisingly good combination. It brings similar sentiments to the sight of seniors enjoying the new rice in rural areas during the rice-planting season. There was a time when the saying that this is how you can forget about the hardships and work in the afternoon was before safety management slogan banners. As the years went by, people caught drinking and not wearing safety gear were seen being kicked out of the site, work hours got faster in the name of safety training, and at some new sites, mornings were often wasted because of the training. Safety is hard, takes time, and costs money. Therefore, it is something I want to postpone and avoid as much as possible. Therefore, the state establishes and enforces laws. This is the Occupational Safety and Health Act, which has been covered countless times on RS Korea's blog, and the Serious Accident Punishment Act, which has been the biggest topic for several years.
Article 618 of the Rules on Occupational Safety and Health Standards specifies the minimum gases that must be measured to prevent worker suffocation accidents in confined spaces. Measured values for oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide (O2 CO CO2 H2S) are also displayed, and the Safety Guide for Workers in Confined Spaces distributed by the Ministry of Employment and Labor provides guidance on measuring up to explosive hazard gases (LEL). We call these five gases the five major gases for confined space safety.
The Act on Punishment for Serious Accidents, etc. is a law on punishment that imposes fines not only on the person responsible but also on the company when a death or serious injury occurs in the workplace due to failure to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act, etc. However, looking at the last sentence of Article 7, this does not apply if the corporation or institution has not neglected due care and supervision regarding the relevant work to prevent the violation. First check the communication of the opened router. Stable communication is provided by connecting the LAN from the router to the FIX-AP. According to the user's request, all parts were placed in a hi-box. This is a tripod-type mounting method that is often requested at tunnel sites or construction sites. It is not normal to travel from Gunpo to Ulsan and receive safety training at 7:30. Even if you try to take variables into account, it's a distance you have to start at 2:30. After discussing with my co-worker Lim Seong-ryeol, we prepare for work and head to Ulsan at 11 o'clock. I arrived around 4 o'clock and found a room at the same motel as last time. The purpose is to lie down for a while, but the accommodation fee is 90,000 won. In fact, I think there should be a rental fee at this level, but it is a bit inconvenient for two men to say that it is a rental fee. Safety training started at 8 o'clock. Now, I have to slowly zoom in with the camera to be able to see the screen. In addition, all three blood pressure measurements showed high blood pressure, so I was declared unable to work. Fortunately, there were no problems with the construction itself because it was not originally scheduled. The problem is my poor eyesight and poor blood pressure. work site
The last time I visited for on-site inspection and meetings, it was also typhoon season. Ulsan welcomes me so warmly every time I visit. Due to safety concerns, umbrellas cannot be used on site. I think it's because it blocks the view at sites where heavy equipment is moving. Construction has progressed considerably since the first meeting. It seems that the situation at the site is such that it is not possible to secure the measuring instrument because a steel plate is planned to be placed on the wall inside the tank.
After final confirmation of the installation site and giving work instructions, connect the FIX-AP + communication box + measuring instrument to the temporary power supply. Data is received normally. Since the LTE router is installed, it is very convenient that it can be connected anywhere. Depending on the site, it is often difficult to bring a laptop in due to security issues, but since membership registration and product registration have been completed in advance at the office, there is no need to take out the laptop. installation work
By arranging the electronic display board inside the tank + the electronic display board outside the tank + the tank central measuring device + FIX-AP, you can prepare for risks that occur during work, check the situation inside the site in advance before entering, and monitor real-time values from a distant office or head office in another area. Considering the mobility of the site, the status board was mounted with cable ties rather than bolt fixation. Since the measuring instrument is also a stationary type, we prepared some extra wires and the work was greatly simplified as there was less work to do with mounting the saddle to the wall. When the power is connected, the measuring instrument + status board 2SET + FIX-AP and communication box are configured to be powered on at once. The site was completed with a final test of normal operation and alarms.
