[RS KOREA] Installation work of FIX800 5GAS and electronic sign at underground wastewater treatment plant at Wonju, Gangwon-do telecommunication company branch

Since I can't do anything about the destruction of the earth, I will install a measuring instrument. Introduction This installation is not to install a gas concentration meter in the carbon dioxide fire extinguishing agent room and protection zone, which was the hottest potato this year, but to measure gas concentration to prevent suffocation accidents in confined spaces in accordance with Article 618 of the rules on industrial safety and health standards, which are the most basic in gas measurement.

Starting in 2023, there have been discussions regarding the installation of gas concentration meters at wastewater treatment plants in branch buildings distributed across the country. The first project has finally begun, taking into account the selection of gases that need to be measured, the budget, and laws and regulations. We plan to gradually expand after running a test run at two locations, so we will do our best to proceed. Of course, even if it is not expanded, we will always do our best. The locations and products scheduled to be installed by branch are as follows.

This is an underground wastewater treatment plant in a telecommunications company branch building located in Wonju, Gangwon-do. Installable gas meter FIX 800 5GAS 

This is FIX 800, an installation-type composite/single gas meter. This is a product that measures by attaching the desired sensor according to the user's choice. When the CO/H2S dual sensor is installed, it measures up to 5 gases simultaneously, allowing simultaneous measurement of the 5 gases required by law, O2 CO H2S EX CO2 gas, with one device. FIX-DS, a dedicated monitoring device for FIX 800, is FIX-DS, a dedicated monitoring device for FIX800 equipped with a highly visible LED display. As the FIX-800 product itself is a product that is manufactured to order according to user requests, the status board can also be manufactured and customized in various ways according to the measuring device. With at least these two configurations, evacuation and action will be possible when there is a risk of suffocation in the environment before or during work in a confined space.

Preparation The first application branch is located in Wonju, Gangwon-do. We received construction permission at 10 o'clock and arrived at the site around 9 o'clock, considering work preparation time and safety training time.

Before working in a confined space, check the gas concentration inside. At the facility manager's request, measurements and filming were carried out using the MINIMAX X4 provided in the company. Although the oxygen concentration is a little low at 20.5%, there is no problem at all with work. Put up a safety board to restrict access other than workers. Reconfirm the installation locations of measuring instruments and electronic signboards that were discussed in advance. Working

If you have enough workers, you can work at a faster speed by dividing the work into a mounting team and a wiring team. If there is no cable tray, drilling may be necessary. In this case, caulking the door frame rather than drilling into concrete is better for both safety and work efficiency. A line box is used where wires are jumped. It is neatly finished by positioning it so that even the perforated area is covered. Power is supplied from the panel within the wastewater treatment plant. There was no spare breaker, so we used the spare outlet inside by agreement. job done

  There is not enough time to take pictures as we are reporting on the completion of construction and providing training on how to use the display. We conduct an alarm test using gas to test for normal communication on the display board. We provide training on maintenance and calibration sensor calibration cycles. We attach a business card case to the bottom of the display board and take simple steps to contact us in case of future problems. We tidy up and finish the work site. In conclusion, it looks like the same product every time, but from the user's perspective, this is the first time we have seen it. I always tackle a new project with the mindset that it is a new project. You may feel it, but I hope that you will feel improvement little by little, even if it seems like the same type of construction every time.
