WANDI installation type gas meter FIX800 (left: single type / right: combination type) This is the installation type gas meter FIX800 product from WANDI, a brand specializing in gas measuring instruments. WANDI FIX800 provides a total of four sensor slots, allowing installation of two or more complex gases. Among the 40 types of gases that can be installed on Fix 800, from single to dual sensors, up to 5 gases for safety purposes in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act are installed simultaneously, and the gas concentration measured in real time is displayed simultaneously.
You can check and manage measured values from outside by connecting to an electronic signboard or PLC using RS485 communication. For this reason, welding using inert gas can prevent oxidation. The company we visited this time used AR gas during welding, and it was installed to prevent worker suffocation accidents due to a decrease in oxygen concentration due to leakage of AR gas stored in the gas storage room.

●Repair and calibration
The site in question was a place with quite high humidity during the summer, so the sensor board was also corroded, so the sensor board was replaced.
It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to replace and stabilize the values. Once the value is stabilized, calibration is performed using O2 18% calibration gas. The proofreading process is repeated 2-3 times. After checking the correctly indicated calibration value, the process is completed after confirming that the atmospheric O2 concentration is normally indicated at approximately 21%. As errors occur in measured values as more than one year passes after installation and calibration, we recommend calibration on a yearly basis. This repair is completed. I'll end this post.
