[RS KOREA][Installation] FIX800 CO2 Leak Detection at Manual Fire Extinguisher Cabinets in a Power Plant

Hello, this is RS Korea. Today we visited a power plant, where we were asked to install a FIX800 at every location equipped with a CO2 cabinet-type manual fire extinguisher.
■ Reason for installation
Beyond the general safety purpose, since these are manual fire extinguishers, the meters were also installed to detect leaks that can occur if a cabinet isn't sealed properly.
■ Installation preparations

This is the FIX800, a fixed multi-gas/single-gas meter. It's a modular product where the customer selects and installs the sensors they need — with a CO/H2S dual sensor configuration, it can measure up to five gases simultaneously, covering the five gases required by law (O2, CO, H2S, EX, CO2) in a single unit. The warning light was purchased and brought along exactly as specified by the power plant; beyond the warning light built into the FIX800 itself, some sites request an additional one, and since the right warning light varies by site, we prepare accordingly once we know the site's requirements.
■ Installation begins

As we were wrapping up the first installation point,

a safety officer came by to confirm everyone was wearing proper safety gear and that the installation was proceeding correctly, so we took a short break for an on-site safety briefing. Since we'd already come fully prepared with all our safety equipment on, the briefing went smoothly, and when the officer asked what kind of installation this was, we explained the FIX800 before continuing the work.

The second point was installed as well. The cabinet was thicker than expected, so we anticipated it would take a while, but with the two-person crew's roles clearly divided from repeating the same steps, it didn't take long at all.

All five points were fully installed.

Once everything was installed, we walked through all five zones with the site manager, tested every warning light, and wrapped up by reviewing the calibration certificate and the menu settings. We're currently seeing a growing number of inquiries about CO2 fire-suppression facilities, protection zones, and gas cylinder rooms.
