Project Details

This is Pilseung Jeong, assistant manager of RS Korea's technical sales department. The cherry blossoms are over. No more. Now all that's left is for it to get hotter. This may be good news for those with pollen allergies. I can stop being like this, I can stop being like that. We have received an inquiry about product relocation and installation. The call is that product relocation is necessary due to laboratory reorganization. From an expert's point of view, simply disconnecting the power, fixing it to a previous location and reconnecting the power is enough, but for non-experts, an unfamiliar measuring instrument can be a scary object that feels like it will explode if touched. I also handle electricity, install things myself, sell refrigerant tools, measure meters, and install things myself, but I can't move air conditioners. I can’t even move the washing machine. It is best to consult an expert. We previously requested photos of the product and location to be installed.

What is it? It is not an item handled by RS Korea???? Of course, it is a product from the same industry that I am familiar with, but I thought it would be better to contact the existing purchaser. Could it be said to be a kind of commercial morality? As a result of the conversation, it seems that due to internal circumstances such as relocation of the laboratory and change of person in charge, relocation installation through an existing company was impossible, and the inquiry was forwarded to RS Korea through the measuring instrument installation blog.

It's common to not touch products you don't know about, but that's not the case at RS Korea. Based on our experience in numerous installation tasks, on-site inspections, repairs, and calibrations, we gladly accepted the request. This is how I head to Daejeon.

This is a pharmaceutical company located in Daejeon. Prepare work tools and other materials, then a vacuum cleaner to leave no traces.

This is a sensor + transmitter product without a display. It is configured with a separate monitoring box for alarm warning and numerical check. Although it is a complex-looking board, in the end, the key is the signal wired connection between the power supply and the meter and monitoring system. Calmly disassemble the product and set it down. Even though it is written on the board, I take pictures of the inside in case I plug it in incorrectly.

Check the installation location and power supply again. We plan to install it above the hydrogen gas cylinder (h2 is one of the lightest gases on earth) to prepare for any possible gas leaks. Once the location is confirmed, we install it right away.

Complete the product wiring and check the gas operation status and alarm status using the prepared standard gas. Unfortunately, there is no sound in the photo.

The long cable was left rolled up on the laboratory rack with the possibility of relocation in the future. With clean installation and test run, both users and workers (me) were satisfied with the work. I will summarize the blog post. We previously installed and test-run a gas meter that was not handled by RS Korea at a pharmaceutical company in Daejeon. Let me say this again, we at RS Korea would like to help (to the best of our knowledge) anything related to environmental measurement equipment through our many years of installation, repair, inspection, and calibration know-how. Please keep in touch.
