This installation placed two FIX800 fixed gas detectors in a cell culture laboratory at Songdo, Incheon, jointly delivered by Tamtec CNS and RS Korea. Cell culture processes involve HCl (hydrochloric acid) gas exposure during media preparation, acid washing, and sterilization, alongside the use of flammable organic solvents including methanol and ethanol. The installation addressed both hazard categories simultaneously — toxic gas (HCl) and combustible gas (LEL/methanol) — through a two-unit FIX800 configuration with dedicated sensors for each risk.
