Installed Gases
Project Details
Hello from VPE Korea. Case study: a food manufacturer’s confined wastewater structure (Gyeonggi). A confined space is any volume with insufficient ventilation where oxygen deficiency, toxics, fire, or explosion hazards can accumulate—even partially open apertures can qualify if gases pool.

Confined-space work rules (reference poster from Korean labor federation).

We surveyed the WWTP structure with the owner to agree on mounting locations and special hazards.

Installation day we finalized an O2, CO2, H2S FIX800 plus LED board per the customer’s change request.

Beacons on the FIX800 sound when gases exceed configured limits so crews can evacuate quickly.

The LED board sits at the entrance for pre-entry checks. Default annunciator setpoints: O2 below 19.5% or above 21.5%; CO2 above 1.5% vol; H2S above 10 ppm. (Board alarm text is fixed; transmitter alarms remain configurable.)
