Installed Gases
Project Details
Hello, this is Assistant Manager Shin from MG Korea. We recently visited the site for an installation project involving FIX800 (HCN), sample conditioning, a single-channel LED board, and GasTiger 2000 (HCN) for portable checks. Below are photos from the installation.

The photos show the detector and conditioning skid—moisture treatment and filters are installed as required.

This is the area where hydrogen cyanide is generated. Interestingly, a detector mounted about 1 m above read 0 ppm, so we double-checked with a portable GasTiger 2000.

In places we saw readings approaching 10 ppm. Near the HCN generation zone, the elevated detector still read 0 ppm, which led us to review relative gas densities (HCN vs. air components). The customer explained that HCN in this layout does not readily rise to the elevated point—while fortunately the release occurs low enough that workers are not directly inhaling it at breathing height. The equipment vendor also plans to add dedicated exhaust to route HCN outdoors after this visit.

Next photos show the single-channel LED board with beacon. It receives a signal from the detector over RS485 and currently shows 0 ppm.
This site visit was very helpful for everyone involved. We look forward to supporting the next phase.
