Hello, this is RS Korea.
Today's installed product is our multi-purpose environmental analyzer, the FIX5000.

It's a combined environmental analyzer capable of simultaneously measuring up to six user-selected gas sensors along with various environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, fine dust, wind speed, wind direction, and illuminance. (Both the gas and environmental modules are fully optional — simply let us know which parameters you need, and we'll provide a quote accordingly.)
Through its wide external touchscreen display, users can check readings, manage alarms, and control up to six relays. The unit also supports internal data logging with convenient USB export, as well as RS-485 communication for external or PLC-based monitoring.
For this particular installation, no separate ambient-environment sensor was needed — the goal was analyzing high-concentration biogas generated during a livestock manure treatment process. (We've linked a couple of similar installation cases toward the end of this post.) This unit was configured with sensors for H2S (0–500 ppm), CO2 (0–100%), and CH4 (0–100%).
While the FIX5000 was originally designed for ambient air quality monitoring, the breadth of sensor options and finely tuned measurement ranges available through RS Korea have led to it being installed in some unexpected applications well beyond that original purpose — much like how a product built for one use case can end up finding real value somewhere else entirely.
Let's walk through the details with the photos.

We set out early and arrived in Geumsan-gun around 9:00 a.m. At the livestock manure treatment facility — still under construction — we laid out the items for installation.

At our request, the facility had already prepared a service port on the gas line, fitted with ball-valve connections for when it's not in use — one side for gas intake, the other for exhaust. We anchored and installed the pole, mounted the unit, and connected the detector to the gas line using a sampling line. Protective tubing was also added to shield the hose from strong wind and other on-site hazards.

Since the treatment facility wasn't yet complete, a live measurement demonstration wasn't possible. Instead, we provided training on the unit's internal components and how to operate it.
Since there isn't much more to summarize about the installation itself, here are a few additional industry notes: Inquiries and deliveries of gas detectors to primary-industry sectors (agriculture and livestock) have been steadily increasing recently. The earliest demand in this space was mostly for NH3/H2S combinations for worker safety. More recently, demand has grown for odor monitoring near primary-industry sites — covering NH3, H2S, methyl mercaptan (CH3SH), and VOCs. Less frequently, but also on the rise, are inquiries like this one: biogas analysis (CO2, CH4) at large-scale treatment facilities.
