We're sharing an installation case of an oxygen detector and display board monitoring system for confined spaces.

A "confined space" refers to a space that isn't ventilated, or that lacks ventilation facilities (vents, windows).

In such spaces, if gas leaks, the oxygen concentration can drop rapidly, creating a risk of death by asphyxiation.

For this reason, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) recommends always measuring gas concentration and oxygen concentration inside a confined space before working in or entering it.

The gas detector we install is the FIX800. Once powered on, it measures the oxygen concentration in real time and displays the reading.

If the oxygen concentration drops below the level set by the user, a sound & light alarm is triggered via the warning light on the right side.

Most customers install an oxygen detector inside the confined space like this, and a display board outside showing the internal oxygen concentration.

Installing a display board at the entrance of the confined space like this allows the oxygen concentration to be checked before entering, making it possible to prevent death by asphyxiation 100% in advance. It also enables real-time monitoring from outside at any time, allowing for safer workplace management.

Gas detector installation work is usually carried out with exposed piping, so installation and construction aren't complicated. However, a prior site visit is essential to accurately determine the installation materials and cost.
