What Is a Confined Space?

A confined space is any space that lacks adequate ventilation or has no ventilation openings such as vents or windows. In such environments, a gas leak can cause oxygen concentration to drop rapidly, creating a serious risk of asphyxiation.

For this reason, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency recommends that gas and oxygen concentrations be measured inside confined spaces before entry or work begins.

The FIX800 oxygen detector measures and displays real-time oxygen concentration as soon as power is applied. When oxygen falls below the user-configured threshold, the side-mounted beacon triggers audible and visual alarms.
