Hello.
Today we'd like to introduce an installation case for a gas detector installed at a factory that produces dry ice.

Dry ice is carbon dioxide (CO2) in solid form.
It's mostly used as a refrigerant, primarily for storing and transporting refrigerated and frozen food.
When using dry ice, caution is needed because its extremely low temperature can cause frostbite on skin contact, and since it is carbon dioxide itself, there is also a risk of suffocation.
In addition, because carbon dioxide has toxic effects, inhaling a certain concentration of it over an extended period can cause health problems or, in severe cases, death.

For this reason, a gas detector must be installed so that workers on site can respond to danger and ensure their safety.

Since the production line is quite long, we chose installation points focused on the areas where workers spend the most time.

The equipment installed is the FIX800 fixed-type multi-gas detector.
It is a single device that can measure and manage oxygen and carbon dioxide concentrations simultaneously in real time.
Since it's a fixed-type unit, it can be integrated into various systems using communication features.


On site, a display board like the one shown above was installed so that everyone working there can check whether the environment is currently safe.
It was also connected via communication to the facility's own system so that data can be saved and managed.
