FIX800 H₂S / CH₄ Gas Detector Installation — Dewatering Facility

This is a FIX800 fixed gas detector installation case at a dewatering facility operated by an environmental services company.

The FIX800 supports selection of 1 to up to 4 sensors from a lineup of over 40 sensor types. In this installation, H₂S (hydrogen sulfide) and CH₄ (methane) sensors were configured to protect against hazardous and combustible gas leaks.

Installation Points

Wiring to each installation point was routed using GW liquid-tight flexible conduit. Prior to installation, all factors including conduit routing, mounting positions, and electrical wiring were thoroughly checked — a mandatory step before any installation work begins.

A gas concentration status display board (FIX_DS) was also installed, allowing workers to visually and audibly verify gas conditions in real time before entering the work area. Gas concentration levels at this site were confirmed to be within normal atmospheric range.

The display board supplies 24 Vdc power directly to the gas detector, eliminating the need for a separate power supply when the two units are used together. When an abnormal condition is detected, the integrated beacon triggers audible and visual alarms, enabling proactive prevention of safety incidents.
