Project Details

Hello.

This case introduces the purchase of the EDW500 IoT multi-gas detector by a public agency for measuring H2S and NH3 on site.

The EDW500 supplied here is a portable 2-gas detector that measures hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and ammonia (NH3) simultaneously. (The EDW500 can be fitted with up to five gas sensors for simultaneous measurement.)

Gas concentrations can be checked directly on site, and the IoT function allows the measurement status to be monitored from a remote location.

Convenient Remote Monitoring via Smartphone or PC

Users can access the monitoring platform from any internet-connected smartphone or PC to check gas concentrations at the site.

GPS location data is also provided, helping managers keep track of the location and measurement status of workers carrying the device.

Automatic Pump for Measuring Hard-to-Reach Spaces

Using the automatic suction pump and a sampling hose, gas can be drawn from inside manholes or other confined, narrow spaces.

This allows gas concentrations at points that workers cannot easily access to be checked conveniently from outside.

Systematic Equipment Management with KOLAS Calibration Certificates

KOLAS calibration certificates can be issued, so the calibration results of the instrument can be verified and used for quality management and as documentation for submission on site.

From H2S and NH3 measurement to remote monitoring and worker location tracking, the EDW500 can be configured to suit the conditions of each site.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1. Which gases does the EDW500 measure?

The unit introduced in this case is a 2-gas configuration that measures hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and ammonia (NH₃) simultaneously. Because the measured gases depend on the sensors installed, please confirm the required gas types when ordering.

Q2. Can gas concentrations be checked without being on site?

Yes. Through the IoT function, gas concentrations at the site can be checked by accessing the monitoring platform from a smartphone or PC. Remote monitoring requires the device's communication connection and access to the platform to be set up.

Q3. Can the worker's location also be checked?

Yes. GPS location data shows the location of the worker carrying the EDW500, helping managers understand gas concentrations and device locations together.

Q4. How is gas measured in manholes or narrow spaces?

The automatic suction pump and sampling hose draw gas from the target point into the instrument. This makes it possible to sample and measure gas inside manholes or confined spaces from outside. Please consult before purchase regarding the required hose length and operating conditions.

Q5. Can a KOLAS calibration certificate be issued?

Yes. If a certificate is required, please request it when ordering and provide the target gases, calibration range and the requirements of the submitting body so that the issuing conditions and schedule can be confirmed.

Q6. Can this configuration also measure oxygen or combustible gases?

No. This unit is configured for H2S and NH3 only, so oxygen or combustible gas concentrations cannot be checked with these two sensors. If additional gases need to be measured, please specify the measurement items required for the site.
